In spite of their weathered sandstone appearance, these rocks are much harder\u2014granite I think. The snow had only recently receded and the wildflowers were out in full force! I&#8217;ve posted a <a href=\"http:\/\/richard.rathe.org\/travel\/wyoming09\/\" target=\"_blank\">gallery of macro and HDR photos<\/a> for all to enjoy.
