So this\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=4775844\" target=\"_blank\">public radio piece<\/a> was a pleasant surprise. In spite of my interest I had never heard of this duo from Minnesota; they recorded only a handful of songs. Their performance of the lullaby\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogfiles.wfmu.org\/LG\/Yodel\/04_-_Cackle_Sisters_-_Go_To_Sleep_My_Darling_Baby.mp3\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Go To Sleep My Darling<\/em><\/a> is a true gem, one of the most beautiful bits of old-time county music that I know of! The harmony is so evocative it brings tears to my eyes.
